1. Structure and production materials
Structure: The ultrafiltration membrane has an asymmetric microporous structure and is divided into two layers. Materials: Generally made of polymer materials, such as cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate ester, polyethylene, polysulfone, polyamide and aromatic polymers.

The main performance indicators of reverse osmosis membranes include desalination rate, water yield (or osmotic flow rate) and recovery rate:
1.Desalination rate: refers to the ability of reverse osmosis membrane elements to remove salt from water. The desalting rate depends on the density of ultra-thin desalting layer on the surface of reverse osmosis membrane element, and the denser the desalting layer, the higher the desalting rate.
2.Water yield: refers to the water production capacity of the reverse osmosis system, that is, the amount of water passing through the reverse osmosis membrane per unit time, usually expressed in tons/hour or gallons/day. Osmotic flow rate is also an important indicator of the water production of reverse osmosis membrane elements, referring to the flow rate of liquid through the unit membrane area, usually expressed in gallons per square foot per day (GFD).
3.Recovery rate: refers to the percentage of feedwater converted into production water or permeable liquid in the reverse osmosis membrane system, depending on the inlet water quality and water requirements for pretreatment in the reverse osmosis system.

1. Product flow rate and salt removal rate are based on the following test conditions:
Influent concentration 2000 ppm (NaCl), influent pressure 225 psi (1.55 MPa), influent temperature 77°F(25°C), single film recovery of 15%.
