The ultrafiltration membrane system is a solution separation device that uses ultrafiltration membrane fibers as the filtration medium and the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane as the driving force. Ultrafiltration membranes only allow solvents (such as water molecules), inorganic salts, and small organic molecules in the solution to pass through, while intercepting large molecular substances such as suspended solids, colloids, proteins, and microorganisms in the solution, thereby achieving the purpose of purification and separation.

working principle
The working principle of ultrafiltration membrane is based on the mechanical sieving effect. By applying appropriate pressure on one side of the membrane, the solvent and some low molecular weight solutes in the solution penetrate from the tiny pores of the ultrafiltration membrane to the other side of the membrane, while higher molecular weight solutes or some emulsified micelles are intercepted, thus achieving the effect of filtration and separation. As large molecular substances continue to accumulate on the membrane surface, the filtration rate decreases, resulting in a phenomenon of "concentration polarization". In order to ensure the continuous and effective operation of ultrafiltration, agitation ultrafiltration devices are often used in practical work to eliminate the phenomenon of "concentration polarization".
